Poynting Vector Method
November 19th Fact-of-the-DayThere are two fundamental methods of calculating the total amount of energy radiated by an antenna system. One is the Poynting Vector Method in which an antenna system is assumed to be at the center of a very large sphere and radiated fields produced by current distributions in antenna elements are calculated over the spherical surface. The total radiated energy is then determined by integrating or summing energy over the spherical surface. ©2004 Martek International All rights reserved.
