Parasitic Oscillations

September 12th Fact-of-the-Day

Parasitic oscillations often occur at high frequencies in radio frequency amplifiers and most suggested remedies are aimed at eliminating high-frequency oscillations. However, it is important to know that parasitic oscillations can occur at any frequency, even at frequencies as low as 1 Hz. Such extremely low-frequency parasitic oscillations usually manifest as a severe irregularity in the saturation curve of a linear amplifier. ©2004 Tigertek, Inc. All rights reserved.
