Resistor Inductance and CapacitanceSeptember 8th Fact-of-the-DayEvery resistor has both inductance and capacitance. Inductance exists because magnetic fields are produced wherever current flows. Capacitance exists because any pair of electrical conductors that will store electrical charge when a difference of potential is applied to them constitutes capacitance and a resistor's terminals, all parts of a resistor and its terminals, and all parts of a resistor in association with all its other parts have that characteristic. ©2004 Tigertek, Inc.
