I had heard about Ad-Aware, but hadn't ever used it. Anyway, I just installed it and it is works great. Installation only took a couple minutes. I highly recommend it to those who haven't tried it. Thanks for letting us know about the new version.

Hello Everyone,
I use the following anti-spyware/malware scanners. ( All Free! )

As well as Ad-Aware SE, Ewido, A2 Malware Scanner, Microsofts Antispyware Beta 1, Spybot Search and Destroy 1.4.

i Also use "Spyblaster" which isn't a scanner but runs in the background preventing about 95% of spyware getting in your computer in the first place.

I recommend all of the above as for a while I decided to try and find as many Free Anti-spyware programs as I could try and these gave me no problems at all.
Others as I have found out by installing them either deleted non infected files, found nothing or gave false positives which means that after you have done a scan they tell you that you are infected with Spyware to get you to buy the "Pro" version when your not.
I came across a website that tests all Spyware programs and the above all worked while the others were either clones of Ad-Aware or Spybot Search and Distroy or gave false positives to get you to buy their program.

When using ad aware don't forget to update your definition files frequently. pro version let you configure updates automatically but the personal version (free) requires you to update manually. Just look for the "Check for updates now" link in the lower right corner of the application window above the start button.

I recommend everyone to use Kaspersky to get rid of all adware and all intruders from their computers. This software is one of the best of its kind or actually the best. I use it too and I must say that I'm very satisfied with its performances. You should try it too.
