Central Electronics 200V TX

by G8DLH » 16 Nov 2006, 19:17

Hi everyone!

Soon I hope to be the proud owner of a CE 200V HF TX. (Fine beast!) :D
Apparently, this rig needs a LOT of TLC! There are parts missing, etc. (Usual story :( ) So it's gonna be the usual full-blown restoration job - with the kinda idea eventually using it on AmRad HF. 8)
So, if anyone knows where I can get a cct. diagram - or better still, a copy of the w/shop manual - on the Net, I'd be much obliged. :D

Tnx.

Ok - thanks again, guys!

The Boat Anchor Site produced quite a lot of worthwhile info., but my E-mail to Carl, N4OZI has produced no response.
A scan around the Web has produced nothing else - so it looks like the manual or cct. diag. is no longer available. :(

Thanks anyway.

CE 200v HFTX

Got it! It's not a 200V, but a 100V (not that there's much difference, so I understand). It's in a pretty sorry state, but when I took it out of its case and had a look underneath the chassis, wow! :o How on earth can you do component replacement maintenance / take under-chassis measurements with THAT construction / layout? What a nightmare! I just don't know where to start!

The 200V is on the third line (2 under the 100v)

Sorry OM, thought it was the 200V manual you needed, not the 100V xmtr you have!

I know, I know! I was told originally that it was a 200V. When I collected it, I was told "Err, sorry. I made a mistake! It's a 100V"
