low power amplifier

I am running a MFJ 9040 and love QRP but once in a while I hear someone that I would really like to have a QSO with and with only 5 watts I get walked on quite a bit. I would like to build it myself, I have built several Heath Kits and have a little experience in following a skematic. I would like it to be solid state and between 20 and 30 watts. I would like it to be clean as possible so as not to take up more of the band that necessary.
