Mediumwave reception, april 2006

Hello:
I spent parts of April 2006 using my Tecsun BCL-2000 receiving and identifying medium-wave (AM) radio stations. This was done from a San Francisco apartment with no additional antenna. Lots of the stations were nearby, but I also received stations from states other than California.

Here's the list of stations I identified:

Hi weatherall,

Now I understand why there is so much heterodyning on the AM band at night fall - too d*mn many 10-50 KW stations!

I looked at your link to "cobalt...." and saw, for the first time, the AM stations and their power levels.

It would be nice if the FCC took their duties seriously!

Mike
