Multiband, including 60 meters

by kc5fm » 02 May 2007, 02:40

I am seeking a design for a multiband antenna that includes 60 meters. Bands desired include 80 through 10 meters.

This Barker & Williamson multiband antenna is an interesting approach http://www.bwantennas.com/ama/fdipole.ama.htm. I haven't had any experience with that antenna, but I am thinking about trying to make one.

I had one up until the Ice Storm took it and everything down.

Buy this one or make one like it. I replaced it with a Vertex-Standard antenna. The spacers broke in the first week.

Build one out of heavy duty wire. Make UV resistant spacers. Those are my two tips from having owned one.

Thanks for your feedback.
