New guy warming the heaters.

Hi Chaps I'm a new guy.
I'm not sure if I'm welcome here, anyway here goes, I'm a cb'er, only one with a good grounding with a masters in mechatronics, and 15 years of cb.
I'm bored with the usual CB forums, so I've joined up.
I have built vaious bits and pieces usually test gear, such as an 27meg aerial analyser and a receiver controlled atu.
My current project is a 27Mhz aerial for mobile use, and in an attempt for efficiency using a minimum inductance loading coil and a butterfly capacitnce hat.
Nice to meet you guys, I suspect I'll get more technical questions answered here.

Of course you are welcome here. A large number Hams started with CB before becoming licensed Amateur Radio operators.

Thanks for the welcome.
I'm gonna tread lightly here as I'm in someone else's house, I dont have plans to become a licensed ham, I like the total informal environment on 11m, and just the occaisonal expletive.
I'd like very much for ssb to be legalised in this country on 27Mhz.
