Roofing, Filters, etc.

I have an IC775DSP and am thinking of new rigs. It has served me well and I wonder what ANY new rig would be better and how and why. I read the claims and get confused. I am not a CW buff at all and I work phone. Where would the IC775DSP be inadequate? Price is not an issue.
