The S-Meter site Kenwood R-5000 receiver that has been running at a location 13-miles north of Salt Lake City for many years was moved to Newport, Oregon in October, 2011. A wide-band HF vertical antenna and ground radial system were installed and the receiver was put back online today, November 13, 2011.

I was a long time user of the receiver while it was in Utah and am delighted to find it back online from Oregon. It provides a great way to check signals, both my own and others.
The new location is working great. Thanks for keeping the receiver running all these years.

I want to add my thanks and appreciation for keeping the receiver in operation all these years. It is very useful when testing new antennas and for being able check what band conditions are like at another location on days when they are not so good here.
