Using an R-392/URR for my receiver

Regulatory news, special events, DX, contests, products, operating, etc. Basically any Ham Radio topic that is not appropriate for one of the other forums with the exception that flaming, defaming, insulting or otherwise abusing others is not tolerated in any of these forums.

Using an R-392/URR for my receiver

I have made up my mind to go QRP and I would like to use my R-292 as my receiver and hook it to my HW16 Heathkit. I have had some to tell me that there is several things inside I will have change and it may be more trouble than it's worth. Has anyone done this and is it a big job.

I haven't done that, but I don't think it would be worth the effort.
