Hi

I like to know if and when are you going to get more receivers on smeter.net...

I am in Long Beach California and I like to see your website has a receiver in Long Beach California and have it like web control.

BTW: I read the post on drop down menu for frequencies and I have an idea for web control receivers what about having to user's log so people can add there own frequencies on the guide list.

P. S. Your website is great! Keep on going free for the people to listen to not like dxtuners.com
Sincerely,

Brandon

Several people in various parts of the U.S. have asked about making their receivers available at the S-Meter site. They are waiting for me to finish new software that will make that easier to do. None of them have been in Long Beach, but it shouldn

Hi Admin Bob,

Will it cost money once you have more receivers soon or is it still free like it is now.

Is there away to see if somebody change the fequencies so I can if it is ok. Is there a chat room to go into to see if it is ok to change the frequencies. I not see a link on your website for java chat room.
Sincerely,

Brandon

More Receivers & Personal Favorites List

by KCC152384 » 16 Jul 2005, 00:55

Hi Admin Bob,

I like to one more thing that is having the owner's of each receiver has there own personal-favorites frequency-list has a subtitles list like this
1. 2 meters ham 2. CB/frs/grms 3. tv audio 4. 220 meters and so on. In each subtitles I would have the name of the frequincies like fire dis 468.6534 listed in the drop down minu.

Your personal-favorites frequency-list suggestion is a good idea. I will try to find time to put that capability in the new receiver control software before it is released.

User Chat System & Fees for Service

by admin » 16 Jul 2005, 05:09

The new receiver control software I am working on has a built-in receiver-user chat system. It doesn't use the Java chat program some of the other receiver websites use. I wrote the chat software myself in C++.

There is no plan to charge for receiver usage, software or anything else.

I agree with having more web-controlled receivers

by IBadget » 24 Apr 2007, 08:34

I wholeheartedly agree with having more web-controlled receivers online, especially since DXTuners.com recently shut down due to the site administrator's decline in interest in continuing to support the web-controlled receivers. I especially agree with the fact that there are no plans to charge users for accessing the web-controlled receivers. It will definitely put the now-defunct DXTuners.com to shame. I also love the fact that there will be chat windows so that users can ask permission to change the frequency or other settings.
