We have changed the frequency schedule a little bit. As some of you may know I purchased the http://www.ralabs.com/n4py/ n4py radio control program to run the jupiter radio a while ago.... Now I have implemented the extra add-on program he created. It works extraordinarily well to automatically change the frequencies for me at set times, like a timer. It really makes this so much easier. Thank God for programmers who are into ham radio.... I'm still learning things about it. It does a lot more than I ever thought it would.


If anyone has the TenTec Jupiter radio, Pegasus, Orion, or many of the other rigs, including the Icom 7800, I would highly recommend getting the N4PY program. The license key he provides after purchasing it, lasts for one year, and whenever there is something new he has added to it, you can get it from him for free. It is pretty cool I must say. You can set up as many different times and frequency changes you want, and it will change frequencies automatically giving you the opportunity to run an un-maned or un-lady station.....It also gives you the ability to open up the receive bandwidth to 8khz wide, and transmit to 3.9.

Of course, there is nothing like a live hands on operator.............when I am listening at the station, live-hands on, I WILL usually do fine audio adjustments for whatever the circumstances that come along, (dealing with those close interfering signals, people causing problems, having to use the notch filtering, and the sometimes needed pbt , and narrowing up the receiver bandwidth ) Maybe if I had steeper skirts or something, then I wouldn't have a problem at all.....humm ya' think? hi hi And on rare occasion we open it up as wide as we can.

So if you are listening TO the Lebanon Stream here, and there is some problems I mentioned going on, and you don't hear somebody trying to fix it, then I'm probably not listening at the time. But most of the time, I can adjust it remotely, using vpn. But I still haven't figured out how to get rid of the "whistler person", and "that mother-ship taking off sound" that comes along, no matter where I'm at or what I do. Yes there is that mother ship around this area somewhere who makes a lot of noise as do the toothless wonder boys.....

Seriously, I know , I can't expect this program to do everything, like a real live operator would do...... HIHI....still wouldn't it be nice if it did????? oh man!!!!!......Hummmmmm.........well........I can dream, can't I?

Still, I am so very happy with this program, overall. I guess I should give it five LOL .... Yes it is great...... It's like having a little helper.
