The Salt Lake City receiver media server was placed back in normal operation at 2100 MST Sunday, December 30, 2007 (0400 UTC Monday, December 31).
Server repair took a little longer than expected, because I decided to replace the CPU and supporting chip-set fans while the server was down. That necessitate a 20-mile trip down to the valley to purchase fans.
The hard disk that failed had been in continuous 24/7 service for five years with no previous problems. Hopefully the new one will last as long.
