The Ham Radio Forum is discussion place where you can exchange information with other users, provide website feedback, discuss technical issues, and discuss Ham Radio developments.These Ham Radio Forum Terms of Service
govern your use of the Ham Radio Forum (the "Forum"). These terms are not exhaustive and we reserve
the right to modify them at any time, effective upon posting modified terms
at this website. By using Forum, you agree to abide by these Terms
of Service as modified from time to time. Any violation of these terms
may result in a warning or the suspension or termination of your right
to access the Forum.
Registration
You need not register to read messages in open forum. However, registration
and login may be required to read certain posts and are required to post
messages or change most user settings. You will be
asked to provide information when you register. The S-Meter Site will
treat registration information received from you in accordance with the
S-Meter Website Privacy Policy and
provisions in this document. Please keep in mind when choosing a login
name that whenever you are logged in your login name and online status
may be displayed to other forum users. Other information about you also
may display such as the dates you joined and the total number of forum
posts you have made. You may not use a login name or email address that
already is being used by someone else, belongs to someone else (without
their consent), impersonates another person or group, violates the
intellectual property rights or other rights of another person or group,
is vulgar or otherwise offensive, or that the S-Meter Site rejects for
any other reason at its sole discretion. You agree that all information
provided in your user profile is accurate, true, current and complete
in consideration of your use of the Forum.
Forum Moderators and Screening
The S-Meter Site does not warrant or guarantee the accuracy, reliability,
completeness, usefulness, non-infringement of intellectual property rights,
or quality of any content at the site, regardless of who originated the
content. You expressly understand and agree that you bear all risks associated
with using or relying on that content. The S-Meter Site will not be liable
or responsible in any way for any content posted, including, but not limited
to, errors or omissions, or loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result
of the use of or reliance on that content. This disclaimer and limitation
on liability is in addition to the disclaimers and limitations contained
in the S-Meter Website Terms of Use.
The S-Meter Site generally does not pre-screen, verify or edit the content posted by users in the Forum. However, the S-Meter Site, its administrator and its forum moderators reserve the right to investigate any violation of the website Terms of Use and these Forum Terms of Service and to take appropriate action at its sole discretion. The S-Meter Site has absolute sole discretion to enforce those terms, including, but not limited to warning users of violations, disabling or suspending message privileges and/or Forum access, deleting, screening or editing any content, or prohibiting any behavior that in its sole opinion does not comply with any of its rules or which in its sole opinion is inappropriate for any other reason.
Content Links
In some cases the S-Meter Site permits users to post forum messages
containing links to content hosted and maintained by third parties where
the links are relevant to a subject of discussion and not provided for
the purpose of increasing the popularity of another site. Although linked
sites are not generally reviewed by Ham Radio Forum moderators, content
you link to must comply with the same rules as content posted directly
in the Ham Radio Forum. You therefore may not include a link in a Forum
that directs users to off-site content or information that, if posted
in the Forum, would constitute a violation of the terms herein.
You access any linked site at your own risk. You therefore should use your own judgment before you take any link in a Ham Radio Forum. When leaving the Forum by means a link, you should be aware that S-Meter Site Ham Radio Forum terms and policies no longer govern and you should review the applicable terms and policies of the site you are taken to. Your Forum Conduct
You should use caution to not reveal information that you do not
want to make public in your postings. Any personal information you post
may be obtained and used various ways by others. Anything you post in
the Forum, you post at your own risk. In publicly available forums like
this Forum it is not practical or possible to be sure that other users
are who they claim to be, know what they claim to know, or are affiliated
with whom they claim to be affiliated. You use information they post at
your own risk.
By participating in the Forum, whether by posting forum content or sending personal messages to other users, you agree that you will not upload, post, or transmit any content including text, links, communications, software, data, images, sounds, or other content that: (i) is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, vulgar, profane, sexually explicit, obscene, racially or ethnically offensive, or otherwise objectionable; (ii) infringes on any patent, trademark, trade-secret, copyright, or other proprietary rights of any party; (iii) constitutes advertising or promotion, junk posts, junk mail, "spamming," chain letters, or any other form of unauthorized solicitation; (iv) contains software viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time bombs, cancelbots or any other computer code or files that are designed to disrupt, damage, or limit the functionality of any software or hardware system or component; (v) provides any non-public information about the S-Meter Site, the Ham Radio Forum, or any other company or person without the proper authorization to do so; (vi) intentionally interferes with the operation of the Forum or with another user's message box, without limitation, mail or post bombing, news bombing, other flooding techniques, deliberately attempts to overload a system by broadcasting attacks, or that attempts to avoid forum or message blocking; (vii) impersonates any person or entity or forges any TCP/IP packet header, e-mail header, or any other part of a message header; (viii) attacks or insults another Forum user, moderator or administrator; (ix) suggests or encourages illegal activity; or (x) violates U.S. or international laws, or governmental rules or regulations.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold the S-Meter Site and its subsidiaries,
affiliates, officers, agents, and employees harmless from any claim, including
reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising
out of content you submit, post, transmit or make available through the
Forum or your use of the Forum, your violation of these terms or the
S-Meter Site Website Terms of Use, or your violation of another's rights.
Release of Information
The S-Meter site may release information pertaining to your use of
the Forum, including posted content, registration information, and network
records, if it believes release is appropriate to comply with law; to
enforce or apply its Terms of Use; to protect S-Meter Site rights or property,
to protect users from fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful use of the Forum;
or if the S-Meter Site reasonably believes that an emergency involving
immediate danger of death or serious physical injury to any person requires
disclosure of communications or justifies disclosure of records without
delay. Deliberate attempts by you or someone on your behalf to evade or
circumvent suspension or termination of your rights to use the Forum
violates these terms, constitutes an unlawful trespass to S-Meter Site
equipment and systems and may result in legal action. Use the Contact
