Audio is included with NASA Public TV video only when there is something interesting to say or hear. Because of that, periods without audio are normal.

Broadband Internet Connection Required
NASA Public TV video data is streamed at 141 KBits per second. The associated audio data is streamed at 16 KBits per second. You therefore must have at least a 151 KBits per second Internet download bandwidth to watch and listen to NASA Public TV. However, your connection should have higher capacity than that for good results, because additional data normally will be transferred between the Internet and your computer for other purposes while your are watching and because it will not be possible to "catch-up" and recover from temporary Internet slowdowns or interruptions using an Internet connection that meets only the minimum bandwidth requirement. 256 KBits is a realistic minimum Internet download bandwidth for good results.
