Delayed playback schedule
Pahrump Receiver Digital Recording & Playback ScheduleYou can listen to late-night 3678 kHz discussions during the day if other things in your life interfere with late-night listeningThe live Pahrump receiver audio stream is digitally recorded each night between 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM PST (U.S. Pacific Standard Time) and is then played back twice during the following sixteen-hour period between 3:00 AM and 7:00 PM PST. The recording is made by converting live audio stream data packets to file format packets and then saving them to a server hard disk file. Playback is accomplished by converting file packets back to audio stream packets and serving them as a Windows Media Broadcast Stream. That recording and playback method preserves the original audio quality, so that playbacks sound precisely the same as original live streams. The usual recording and playback schedule is shown in the table below. Times are starting times of hourly segments. PST is U.S. Pacific Standard Time. This schedule can be used to find the approximate replay times of portions previously missed. Usual Recording & Playback Schedule
The schedule above may change from time-to-time in the future due to changing propagation conditions or for other reasons. There also may be occasional daily variations due to a need to install software upgrades or correct various problems on one or more of the servers used by the process. The Pahrump receiver is normally tuned to 3678 kHz LSB, but is occasionally tuned to other frequencies because of propagation conditions or interference.
