Insulator Power LossNovember 23rd Fact-of-the-Day
The insulating qualities of insulating materials are not perfect. Some amount of power will be absorbed by any insulator used at radio frequencies. Various sets of insulator characteristics are important in different applications. However, power loss is the single property that provides the best indication of general suitability. Power loss can be expressed a variety of ways; the most common being in terms of power factor, phase difference, phase angle, and resistance. ©2004 Martek International All rights reserved.
