Feed-Line ImpedanceSeptember 1st Fact-of-the-Day
The characteristic impedance of a feed-line is not a rational function of frequency (i.e., does not depend on frequency), because a feed-line can be decomposed into a network consisting an infinite number of infinitesimally small inductive and capacitive components. No finite network of inductors and capacitors can be designed that will have an impedance that does not depend on frequency. ©2004 Martek International All rights reserved.
